A modern Renaissance man, and one of the few genuine Portland “natives”. At any given moment, he can be found wearing about 37 hats (or thereabouts) as he runs the business, oversees production, and loves taking time to interact with you, our beloved customers. If you happen to reside in Portland, you might even be lucky enough to receive a hand delivery from Stu himself, whether to rectify a snafu or just because he happened to be in your neck of the woods.
Incredibly creative, when he's not busy with work, you might find him putzing about in his art studio, or cooking up a storm, jumping into glacier-fed lakes, or pedaling his bike as far as his legs can take him...Or playing with Frankie, our lovely 'senior pup'... the two of them can be such goofballs.
If you're lucky enough to catch Stu at our brick-and-mortar shop, prepare to be entertained by his offbeat sense of humor and his general wackiness. So, whether you're a long-time customer or a newcomer, don't hesitate to say hi – you never know what kind of adventure you might be in for.
A certified natural skincare formulator with a gazillion hours under her belt in the lab. She's a bonafide cosmetic science nerd (on a Sunday morning at 6 am she loves to drink Nespresso and read Cosmetic Chemistry literature instead of the Sunday paper), but don't let that fool you – she's also a spirited and playful mixed-media artist, and her creativity is the driving force behind all of her amazing products (see the latest in our Freckled Foxglove skincare collection).
Here are a few random fun facts about Anca:
She's a lover of all things earthy and natural, from gardening and doing yoga to cooking up delicious rustic meals with fresh ingredients straight from the Earth. And speaking of...she can't get enough of the smell of Earth after the rain – which, by the way, is called 'Petrichor.' She also loves the cool wind on her face, the feeling of a velvety leaf of lamb's ear (yes, that's a plant!) against her cheek, and the aroma of laundry dried in the sun. She can still smell and taste her grandma’s dark cherry and rose marmalade, from when she was a wee girl spending the summers at their house in Transylvania. She absolutely adores Frankie and loves to take him on long walks.
