Call it an unusually hot summer, call it global warming, call it 'wish I had a pool' time, call it what you will but there's no denying that we're deeply in the season where one appreciates both a good deodorant and freshly washed clothing. Just in time, Camamu has found a locally-made all-natural deodorant and a non-detergent laundry detergent, both lovingly handmade by Sea Goat Herbs. Sea Goat Herbs is a new, artisan company here in Portland and here's what the owner, Michelle, has to say about what she does.
'All products are made in small batches to insure medicinal integrity and quality control. From start to finish every step of the creation process is completed with holistic and positive intentions in mind. Homegrown, non-GMO, pesticide free herbs are used along with ethically wild crafted plants from Pacific Northwest forests..... Sea Goat Herbs is an effort to nourish, educate and create healthier communities.'
Owning Camamu has been a blessing in so many ways. One of the biggest ones is that I've had the opportunity to meet with so many gifted, dedicated and committed women and men in and out of the Portland community; people committed to changing the paradigm from corporate to artisan, from profit based to livability based, from not caring about physical and environment impact to caring deeply and passionately about preserving health and reducing harm.
It all matters. Thank you for supporting small companies.
