Marshmallow root, Althea officinalis, is a mucilaginous emollient with conditioning, hydrating and de-tangling properties. The combination of these two deeply conditioning, hair smoothing and strengthening plants with our richly nourishing oils create a shampoo that is an amazing hair tonic. Neutral henna, botanically a different plant than henna, is a non-colorant while the mucilage in the marshmallow root also helps soothe dry itchy scalps and combats scalp inflammations. We've scented this amazing shampoo with scalp-rebalancing geranium essential oil combined with mood-elevating clary sage and lavender essential oils.
